This is melting-pot music of the most considered and attractive kind... Al-AIedy and his co-producer/engineer Serge Glanzberg have done a fine job in corralling all of these disparate influences into a highly satisfying whole... - Jamie Renton (fROOTS) - Read the review

Fawzy hands us a visa to another world, to a new adventure... a universe where we feel at ease - alien and at home at the same time... Radio Bagdad is like an illustrated book, an invitation to dream... - J. Isselé (DNA journal)

The art of curiosity and of fine mixture" is probably the leitmotif of Fawzy Al-Aiedy's artistic projects, always presented with great finesse... intimate melodies melt with festive rhythms... Very tasty! -- J.F. Pastor (Director Django Reinhardt Centre, Strasbourg).

An encounter with virtuoso musicians in a laid-back atmosphere - the Trio performs a mix of challenging improvisations on maqams (Oriental classical modes), traditional songs from the Middle East and also original compositions.

Supported by masterly rhythms of the percussions and beautiful and compelling melodies of the violin, Fawzy's oud and singing echoes the moving melodic and poetic tradition of the Orient.

Ultime Prière - Oriental Sacred Songs (Trio) - See Video

In Ultime Prière ("Ultimate Prayer"), Fawzy evokes the Orient's mystic memory, using texts by Sufi poets of the 9th and 13th century (Ibn Arabi, Hallaj, Ibn Al Faridh) and today. These masters of mysticism were renowned for their innovative and open-minded works.

Fawzy has composed reflective and emotive songs that reflect the deep lyrics of the poems. With a perfect orchestration and interplay of sublime male and female voices, beautiful melodies of oud and qanun and masterly percussions, the musicians invite the audience to a spiritual journey of mind and soul. Music becomes a tool for dialogue, spirituality, and cultural exchange - a ray of hope for a better world.

Initiated by Strasbourg's Les Sacrées Journées festival, Ultime Prière had its world premiere in Strasbourg's famous cathedral (as opening act for Sœur Marie Keyrouz). Internationally, the show has been invited by festival Musica Sacra International in Germany and Belgium and by Gaude Mater - International Festival of Sacred Music in Poland.

Privé de Désert ("Deprived of the desert") is a project about the meeting of two musical worlds, inspired by the rhythms of the desert.

Great musicians of completely different backgrounds take you on a journey between Middle Eastern and Mediterranean music, jazz and free improvisation. Driven by a incredibly tight rhythm section, and accompanied by divine piano play, the soloists start a melodic dialogue, exchanging mind-blowing phrases.
