Enjoy the music!

Radio Bagdad - Oriental Groove (6tet - also possible as 4tet) - Video medley & audio samples

Featuring excellent soloists of the traditional and global music scene, Radio Bagdad mixes Arabic melodies and Western grooves. Despite modern arrangements, also employing amplified instruments like an electric oud, it preserves the essence of traditional Middle Eastern music.

Radio Bagdad diffuses enchanting melodies of the blazing and mellow Middle East - feel the subtle groove of global rhythms between Latin America and the Arab world!

"This is melting-pot music of the most considered and attractive kind... corralling all of these disparate influences into a highly satisfying whole..." - Jamie Renton (fROOTS) - Read the review

"A universe where we feel at ease - alien and at home at the same time... Radio Bagdad is like an illustrated book, an invitation to dream..." - J. Isselé (DNA, French journal)

"Fawzy Al-Aiedy's artistic projects are always presented with great finesse... intimate melodies melt with festive rhythms... Very tasty!" - J.F. Pastor (Django Reinhardt Centre, Strasbourg).

Ultime Prière - Oriental Sacred Songs (Trio) - See Videos

Ultime Prière ("Ultimate Prayer") evokes the Orient's mystic memory with deep original compositions using texts by Sufi poets of the 9th and 13th century (Ibn Arabi, Hallaj, Ibn Al Faridh) and today. These masters of mysticism were renowned for their innovative and open-minded works.

With a perfect orchestration of sublime voices, beautiful melodies and enchanting rhythms, the musicians invite you to a spiritual journey of mind and soul, promoting cultural dialogue and mutual understanding - a ray of hope for a peaceful world!

Initiated by Strasbourg's Les Sacrées Journées festival, Ultime Prière had its world premiere in Strasbourg's famous cathedral (opening for Sister Marie Keyrouz). Internationally, it was performed, among others, at festival Musica Sacra International in Germany and Belgium and Gaude Mater festival in Poland.

Dounya - Traditional Arabic songs for kids & families - Listen to audio samples

In the role of Sinbad the Sailor, Fawzy takes you on a voyage across the sea and into the desert, presenting songs and stories from the Arab world to a young audience (scenario in English or Arabic).

Listening to the traditional songs, the kids travel through musical landscapes of the region and discover different rhythms, sounds and instruments. Invited to sing a few songs (in English and Arabic) together with the musicians, they live an experience of cultural exchange.

Dounya is a voyage towards other people and cultures, a musical adventure with a wonderful message of peace!

The show was invited by many renowned festivals and venues in France (f. ex. Printemps de Bourges, Mino Festival and numerous National Theatres) and also toured in Europe and the US (Seattle Children's Festival, International Children's Festival at Saint Paul, etc...)
